The Observation of a black raven would go towards confirming this hypothesis. However "All ravens are black" is logically equivalent to "All non-black things are non-ravens" Now the observation of a non-black non-raven would go towards confirming that "All non-black things are non-ravens" But as "All non-black things are non-ravens" is equivalent to "All ravens are black" then the observation of a non-black non-raven would apparently confirm that "All ravens are black!" ANSWERS ON A POST CARD!!! |
