I'm sorry. I just feel like ranting but have no idea where to put this topic...so I'm just placing it here. I am so pissed off today. I'm a supporter of Manchester United and just found out that this American is probably going to succeed in taking over my club by tomorrow. I don't like him but my dislike for him cannot be compared to the disappointment I feel towards most of the supporters right now. When I found out about his intentions months ago, I joined the Shareholders United and started buying shares with them so that the fans will have a % of the club and can prevent any takeovers. I am shocked to find out that only 28,000 of fans bothered to join in. Manchester United has millions of fans and if everyone would just contribute £1, we won't have this problem today.

So the supporters are very much to blame as well as this Yank. And some idiots are talking about killing him. What the hell is the point? He owns the shares, dead or alive. Sigh...I think it's a bit too late for anyone to do anything. And it just sucks. mad.gif

Wow! You actually take this all so seriously??? Im not a fan of football, but is this American bad or something??? Why dont you like him? If he's willing to put the money into the club, suely he'll do all it can to make sure its a success?!

Yeah...I'm quite passionate about Manchester United. My dad thinks I'm crazy but well...I *am* twisted. LOL! I've been supporting MU for the last decade so it's quite hard for me not to be passionate about the club.

Most fans are now pro-*test*-('")ing by refusing to buy merchandise and tickets in order to cut the inflow of money. That is to drive out Glazer coz he probably won't be able to pay back the interest for his loan but on the other hand, it would mean MU will most definitely go bankrupt! And I really don't want my club to go down the drains. So I'm just torn up right now. Should I continue supporting the club and make sure MU survives (while putting my £££ in Glazer's pocket) or stop spending on the club and see it go bankrupt because of principles?

Melody...the point is...he's a businessman. He's only looking to make profit. MU is the richest football club in the world now and he's plunging the club into debt. If he can't afford to pay back the loan, then the club is screwed. And I don't like anyone 'owning' the club coz that means it's his club and he can do whatever he wants with it unlike now...when we have a board working for the good of the club and shareholders.

So meanwhile...I guess we'll just have to wait and see what will happen. Whether he's going to sack our manager, sell our players etc. Whatever it is...supporting MU will never be the same anymore. sad.gif

Oh pretty face....the point is...this guy doesn't know shite about football. Ok, he has this history dealing with sports, previously he bought this club in the states, and he did what I mentioned earlier. Sack the manager, increase prices of tickets and merchandise, sell the name of stadium and blah blah. The most important issue is...whether he will take advantage of the supporters. I don't want to be unable to afford a ticket to watch MU play in the future. I love going to Old Trafford. My gf and I try to go 2-3 times a season. Anyway, I don't want to speculate further on what he'll do. We'll just have to wait and see. There's nothing we can do anyway. The club is already his.

Well...no one knows what's happening with MU yet as that gnome refused to state his plans. So let's just hope he has a great plan or else... *sob* goodbye to my beloved club.
